Daily Jobs: 

You are expected to sign-in daily and complete simple tasks (go around and pick up any books that are out on tables scan them in and put on shelving cart, push in chairs, shelve books on the shelving cart that are in your sections, shelf read and straighten your assigned sections) prior to asking for more work.  Sometimes, the teacher or technician may have an urgent job for you and will ask you to forgo the daily jobs and do the urgent job first.  You will receive 5 points daily for being self-directed workers.  If you are tardy, 1 point for the day is deducted.  If you are absent, 4 points are deducted for the day.  Each week you can earn 25 points for daily jobs. You can always come in before of afterschool to make up points for daily jobs.

Assignments Fall 2009 

Besides general daily tasks that will take priority over the assignments listed below; you are expected to complete the tasks listed below and have them turned in by the due date.  Late assignments will have 10% deducted after the assignment was graded,and will not be accepted more than a week after the published due date.  

1.  Print out this pageand turn it in to Mrs. Williams, and then complete "Let's Do Dewey" (use link below)  by September 25 for 10 easy points!  

2.  Dewey Decimal - how do we do it? 

• Go to:  Let's Do Dewey  and STOP after you successfully complete Excercise I
  • Tell Mrs. Rodgers or Mrs. Williams...

3.  Shelf check on Fiction - Quiz

• You will be assigned a "shelf" to "straighten."  (Make sure Dewey order is correct, put all same copies side by side, push all books on shelf to the outside "edge" and check for debris or books that have fallen behind the books.
